The short answer: in Singapore, eyelash extensions cost between S$50 and S$280 per fresh set depending on style, with refills every 2.5–3 weeks. The right style for you depends on three things — your natural lash strength, your eye shape, and how dramatic you want the look. This guide walks you through all three, then a quiz at the end recommends a starting style.

Most studios will quote you a price before they've looked at your eyes. That's the first warning sign. Lashes are not a menu item — they're a fit. What follows is what we wish more Singapore studios shared openly.

The five lash types you'll see in Singapore

The vocabulary in lash studios can be confusing because every studio invents marketing names. There are really five techniques, with everything else being a variation.

  • YY Lash (4-prong / clover)YY 4叶草 — pre-made fans of 4 thin extensions, applied as a unit. Quick application, lower per-set price (S$68 at yeux), perfect for clients who want fullness without fuss. Trade-off: less customisation per lash.
  • Classic Single极致单根 — one extension per natural lash. The cleanest, most natural look. The default recommendation for first-timers (S$78). Highest retention with the right aftercare.
  • Volume Single (Hybrid)单根加密 — mixes single extensions and small hand-made fans. More density than Classic, more dimension than YY. The most common "second set" choice (S$88).
  • Designer (Thai / Fairy / Sunflower / Manga)网红设计款 — styled sets that play with length, curl and spacing for a specific look. Often what you see on Xiaohongshu and Instagram (S$108).
  • Bottom lash下睫 — an add-on, not a category. Adds definition below the eye (S$30). Often booked alongside Classic or Volume.

"The most common first-time mistake we see at yeux: clients come in asking for Designer because they saw it on Xiaohongshu, but their natural lashes can't carry the weight. We always start them on Classic and graduate them up after 2 cycles."

What a fresh set actually costs in Singapore

Pricing in Singapore varies more than it should. As of 2026, fresh-set prices range from S$50 at speed studios to S$280+ at boutique brands. The factors that move the price legitimately:

  • Number of fans applied — Designer sets use more material and take longer.
  • Technician experience — newer techs work faster but with less precision; experienced techs price for the time they take.
  • Adhesive grade — premium Japanese / Korean adhesives cost 3× more than standard but give 1.5× the retention.

At yeux, refills are flat S$30 if you return within 3 weeks. After 3 weeks, you're charged as a fresh set because retention has usually dropped below the 40% threshold we use to define a refill. Read our full pricing breakdown →

Aftercare in Singapore humidity

Lash adhesive cures faster in humid air, but the daily 18 °C → 32 °C aircon-to-outdoor cycle stresses the bonds. The two non-negotiable rules:

  1. Dry for 24 hours. No water on the lashes, no sweat, no steam.24
  2. No oil-based products for 7 days. Eye cream, makeup remover, mascara — all dissolve the adhesive.7

How to pick a Singapore lash studio

Beyond the work itself, look for:

  • A licensed, hygienic space. Single-use tools, fresh under-eye pads each session, gloves changed between clients.
  • A consultation that includes measuring your natural lashes — not just choosing from a photo book.
  • Transparent SGD pricing displayed before you sit. Refill price clearly separated from fresh-set price.
  • Reviews that mention retention, not only photos of day-1 results.

The right studio shouldn't be the cheapest or the most Instagrammed one. It should be the one where the technician asks you more questions than you ask her.
