A technician combs the brow hairs upward, applies a relaxing solution that softens the internal structure of each hair, then a setting solution that locks the new brushed-up direction in place. Most studios finish with a tint and a nourishing oil. The whole thing takes under an hour, and you walk out with the fluffy, feathered, brushed-up brow you see all over Instagram.

The chemistry is real perm chemistry. But it repeats every 1.5 to 2 months if you want the look year-round. A powder brow costs more once, then asks nothing of you for a year or two. Lamination aftercare is short and strict: keep the brows completely dry for 24 to 48 hours while the set cures, then brush daily and oil occasionally. That is the whole list. A powder brow asks more of you up front: a few days of darker colour, light flaking around day 4 to 7, a ghost stage where the pigment looks faded, then the true colour surfacing by week 4 to 6. Yes, and the combination is genuinely good: the powder brow supplies shape and depth in the skin, the lamination lifts the hairs over it. The sequencing rule, and this is general practitioner guidance rather than a yeux service note, is to laminate only after the powder brow has fully healed, which most practitioners put at 6 weeks or more after your final pigmentation session, touch-up included. Perm solution on still-healing skin is a bad idea. Tell each technician about the other treatment and let them set the calendar.
