Ask around Singapore and you will hear three names for the same lip treatment. An aunt calls it lip embroidery. A colleague says lip blush. Instagram says Korean lip tint. It sounds like three different services, and that confusion is why this guide exists.在新加坡问一圈，同一个唇部项目你会听到三个名字。阿姨说是绣唇，同事说是纹唇，Instagram 上叫韩式唇釉。听起来像三种服务、三种价钱，这份指南就是为了讲清楚这件事。
The short answer: same family, different era of naming
简短回答：同一家族，不同年代的叫法
Lip embroidery is the older term, from the same naming family as eyebrow embroidery, used by studios in Singapore, Malaysia, and Taiwan through the 2000s and 2010s. Lip blush is the newer branding, and it stuck because it describes the modern result better: a sheer, blended tint rather than a solid block of lipstick colour.
绣唇是比较早的叫法，跟绣眉同一个命名家族，2000 和 2010 年代新加坡、马来西亚、台湾的店都这样称呼。纹唇（lip blush）是比较新的叫法，会流行起来是因为它更贴近现在的效果：轻薄自然的染色感，而不是一整块口红色。
When one studio advertises lip embroidery and another lip blush, they are almost always offering the same core service: cosmetic pigment placed into the surface layers of the lip skin with a machine. There is no separate treatment hiding behind the older name. At yeux the menu name is Korean Lip Blush. Compare studios by the healed results they show, not by the name.

What the treatment actually does (and doesn't do)

Whatever the name, the goals are the same:
不管叫什么，目标都是这三件事：
- Tints.上色。 An even wash of colour, so lips have tone before any makeup. 均匀的色调，不化妆嘴唇也有气色。
- Defines.修饰轮廓。 A cleaner lip border, without the drawn-on look of overlining. 唇线更清晰，但不会像画出界的唇线笔。
- Corrects.校正。 Softens dark, dull, or uneven natural lip tone. 淡化偏暗、暗沉或不均匀的天然唇色。
What it does not do: add volume. There is no filler involved, and your lip shape stays your lip shape. A fuller lip is a conversation for a medical clinic, not a beauty studio.

What a session looks like

At yeux the shape and colour are drawn on and reviewed in the mirror before any pigment goes in. Numbing cream sits for around 20 minutes, then the pigment is layered in soft passes over roughly two and a half to three hours, depending on tones. Some lips need a small refresh once the skin settles; within three months of your session, that touch-up is free.

Healing day by day (the ghost stage is normal)

- Day 1:第 1 天： colour looks bold, lips feel swollen and tender. The loudest it will ever look. 颜色最浓，嘴唇肿胀敏感。这是它最夸张的时候。
- Day 2 to 4:第 2 到 4 天： dry, tight lips; the surface colour darkens before it flakes. 嘴唇干燥紧绷，表面颜色会先变深再脱屑。

- Week 4 to 6:第 4 到 6 周： the tint re-blooms into its final shade. Judge the result here, not at week two. 色调慢慢回来，定型成最终颜色。要在这时候评估效果，不是第二周。
How long it lasts

In Singapore heat and humidity, expect the tint to hold for roughly 12 to 18 months. Matched well to your undertone, it fades gradually toward a lighter version of the same shade rather than turning patchy. When it thins out, a refresh brings it back.

Who suits it, and who should wait

It suits naturally dark, dull, or uneven lip tone, blurred borders, or anyone tired of reapplying lipstick all day.
适合天生唇色偏暗、暗沉或不均、唇线模糊、或者不想整天补口红的人。
Some situations call for waiting, or a doctor's advice first: pregnancy or breastfeeding, a history of cold sores (pigmentation can trigger a flare, so ask your doctor about antivirals beforehand), lip filler in the past four weeks, recent Accutane or similar medication, keloid-prone skin, or blood thinners. A good studio asks about all of this before booking.
